Is a two party system support to both a one party system and a multi-party system and Why?

A two party system does not support both one party system and multi-party systems rather it tends to support the one party system. A two-party system is a system whereby two major political parties dominate politics within a nation’s government. This is to imply that the leading party dominates most of the legislative seats leaving very few legislative seats for the other political party. As a result, the leading political party becomes the majority party while the other party becomes the minor party. An outstanding example of some nations with such systems includes the U.S. and Jamaica.
A two party-system best supports one party system because in one party system, only a single political party forms the government as provided by the existing constitution of that nation. However, the other parties may be outlawed or allowed to take a small share and controlled participation in the election. The one party system matches with two-party system in that it is only one party that dominates the legislature of the government. The other parties get a small share in the government legislature.
Although a two-party system involves more than one party just like multi-party system, it may not have any support in multi-party system. Ideally, this is because a two-party system dominates the leading role in the government something which is very different from multi-party system. In multiparty system, there are many political parties with each having an equal capacity to control the government. This implies that there is no majority political party controlling the government rather each political party contributes in the government formation. An outstanding example of countries that use multi-party system includes Germany, India and Japan among many others.
