Progress Report Reports Example

Our group will tackle communicating the partnership of animal welfare and genetics. Over the years we have witness in the country the improvement livestock productivity through sound management and improved genetics. This is evidence for example by increase in milk production in cow and chicken taking shorter time to mature. Therefore, the project is interesting very relevant to current status of livestock welfare and genetics advancement. The findings of the project will be valuable to the public and existing research concerning such as area as reduced breeding rates, rapid growth, high yield, reduced fertility, nervous system abnormalities etc.
We had the pleasure of meeting our mentor to give us advice and tips on how to manage the project. Our mentor advised us to be creative and look for ideas especially in the media. Meeting with our mentor was insightful and intriguing. Additionally, he asked us to check the public perception on consumption, welfare of the livestock and what reason behind the improvement of genetics. In addition, he requested we check cost benefit analysis of the welfare. As we about to leave, he gave us some topics to look over so as guide us in our research
Our first meeting as group members was a success and informing. I have learned everyone in the team is a go-getter and enthusiasm about the project. Moreover, after the first meeting, we have met several times to strategize and evaluate our progress. We have divided work equally depend on everyone strengths. Unfortunately, we don’t have adequate funds to carry out extensive research or travel all over the country to check on the status of animal welfare and genetics. However, we shall utilize the library materials and internet for information.
