Important Aspects of Reading

The beginning of Rama Hero and Avatar has an introduction that motivates to develop interest for the hero. Rama is illustrated as the hero who fought hard to help abducted children. Many children suffered in the hands of the abductors. The author assures that any person who reads the story of Rama will get purification from sins. As such, every reader gets motivated to know the meaning of living a pure life free of sins.
Another important aspect of reading is phonics. The main reason for considering this aspect as important is by the consideration of the readers’ requirement. Every reader requires phonics to decode the read words. The words we read can only make meaning only if we get the sense from such words. For this reason, phonics is an important aspect. Considering the story of the Rama, every reader can feel to own the story despite their level of literacy. The words addressing the reader assure them that they are reading the right piece of work. The author precisely informs the reader that the book addresses diverse groups on the issue of the abduction of small children in Ravana, India. The author insists that the story has served generations for years. If the reader creates sense from such words, there is an increase in the motivation rate and the story gets interesting as further curiosity develops to the reader. For this reason, phonics is an important aspect of reading. It is amazing that children suffered so much yet the rest of the world did not know of it.
Comprehension is another important aspect in this reading. Useful meanings come when the reader combines the texts in the writing and experience about the topic at hand. Keywords in the texts guide the reader greatly. Readers keep relating what they know about the topic from other sources or the previously read knowledge on the same piece of work. Additionally, strategic reading purposes enable the readers to create inferences from the texts of the works they chose to read. From The Hero and Avatar, some few introduction lines give the reader the topic of discussion as abduction of Indian children. At the mention of the topic, the reader gets the main point to set the reading objectives. Additionally, they may take time to reflect on what they already know about abduction of the small children in India. It is sad to know that children were abducted and made to suffer. The issues of abduction are even sad because children are the main target.
Some of the objectives of the readers would probably be the need to know how the issue of abduction started, the geographical regions affected, and how abduction ended. These questions get answers. For example, it is clear that a hero, Rama, is born to bring victory among the Indians on the issue of abduction. Comprehension, for this reason, keeps the reader in touch with the works they are reading and consequently increases their effectiveness. This book has a smooth flow that enables readers to digest the content. The story of abduction is so moving that people would wish to read the whole material in one sitting.

The Confusing Aspects of Reading

Reading is not always easy for the reader to assume they always flow in any piece of work they tend to read. Loss of motivation and understanding can result when a person is reading a given piece of work. As such, there is importance in knowing that some aspects of reading are usually confusing and causes a hindrance to the understanding level. These aspects include the vocabulary and word identification.
Vocabularies are common in foreign subjects especially when they are addressing in the professional tone. Such works stand to communicate strictly to individuals within specific levels of professionalism. The works presented by Vidya Dehejia does not use vocabulary. In fact, the author simplifies the works to an extent of including sketches and artistic drawing for easy understanding. Vocabularies cause discouragement to the fewer literate groups and limit the readers of their works.
Word identification is another factor that arise confusion to the reader. If the reader is not keen on how to identify the keywords in the works they read, it becomes challenging to comprehend the work. Constant analysis of every word that a reader comes about is a challenge. The reason behind this is the ambiguity and the special attention required to comprehend new words. Growing in every new word that reveals is challenging, though very important.

Question for research

It is important that the question that many young readers would wish to enquire have consideration yet, probably because it never appeared in the mind of researchers. The researchers could clarify on the whether the brain of small children understands at the same rate as adults. Their arguments would best fit the answer if they consider the facts that the young brain is fresh and curious unlike the old “tired” and saturated brains possessed by the adults.
