1-What is creativity? What opportunities do students need in order to be creative?
The use of original ideas or imagination for creation of something new is covered in the creativity. In order to be creative, students need certain opportunities where they can function as a creative member. Students need opportunities for intentional cognition, appropriate support, scaffolding and feedback through which they can learn new skills and can become more creative. Through these opportunities, students will be able to explore themselves and the skills hidden among them (Egbert, 2005, p 73).
2-What opportunities do productivity tools provide for teachers?
Productivity tools can prove to be source of opportunities for the teachers. Teachers can use various tools like IMovie, word processors, databases, spreadsheets, desktop publishers, graphic programs, HTML editors for presentations to the class. This will help to improve the instructional process. In addition, teachers can use the World Wide Web for the publication of their students’ work. Some websites will also help teachers to adopt new teaching methodologies, which will prove to be effective in the learning process (Egbert, 2005, p 75).
3-What are the conditions needed to facilitate creativity and production?
The two main conditions needed to facilitate creativity and production are discussed below:
Teaches must focus on performing tasks, which are new for students, rather than repeating activities and performing what students can actually do. This will help students learn to new things and it will enhance the creativity among them.
The students can perform a limited number of tasks. Teachers must focus on paying attention to the tasks, which students can perform (Egbert, 2005, p 75). This will help them to groom a creative skill among the students.
