Sample Essay On Analyzing Stereotyping In Literally Organizational Pretext Of The Movie “Hollywood Shuffle”
Introduction
Humans are divided naturally into different groups, and they have been given different psychological personas according to their outward looks. The film “Hollywood Shuffle” features a black male who was trying to make a career in the field of acting. However, he can find the role of a slave or a butler with his current skin tone. He is an efficient portrayer, and he used to put a significant degree of effort in this regard as well. His talent was placed on to the backburner when faced with his ethnic background. He had to go through considerable amount of emotional labor in order to find respect in his field. The major question I will is about the reasons those have played a critical role in terms of overpowering the presence of stereotyping in the American film industry.
He had to see his girlfriend who would gift him a scarf in order to increase his luck.
The trend of superstitious thinking started to find a permanent place in his life because he wanted not to give up on his dream.
He was willing to drag every possible means of motivation in his life so that he can continue his journey to the apparent greatness for that he considers himself destined.
The stereotyping in the film industry is a manifestation of a generally acceptable social ways towards African Americans those people have deeply embedded in their minds over the years (Bonilla-Silva, 175).
Conclusion
The audience was not willing to see a black man in the major role at a big screen because they want the cinema to convey messages those were realistic. They could not relate to the film if it had initiated to give Africans leading characters as they were perceived as lower ranking citizens in the traditional American national system. The days will turn for Africans in America when the entire country would commence to understand racial identity as an irrelevant concept while determining one’s intellectual and artistic gifts.
