Dear Children,
I write to you from the past, a time that you would assume much simpler and ‘ancient’ which I am sure it will be as compared to the future which is complex and pioneered. I can imagine you feeling that my time is starkly different from your and that I cannot possibly relate to it. However, some things never change, and that is all for you to remember at all times. We must learn from the past and must remember that the lessons we learn need to be implemented in our lives so that the future becomes a better place for our loved ones ahead.
In our times, we were racing ahead toward the future in hopes of achieving the best and winning the race amongst the lot. In this race, we often forgot about the things that mattered most to us; our friends, family, our happiness. But my advice to you my children is to strive for what you wish to achieve but do not forget about spending time and sharing your love with the people who matter the most to you because we cannot find true happiness in worldly material since it only lies with those who are close to our hearts.
Another thing that might amuse you would be the recklessness we faced in the past times when the world around us was actually shrinking and coming closer, but we were insistent on dividing it and becoming the kings of our own empires. I only wish that the future would not have such values in it. It is better to live in harmony, peace and tranquility without differences of wealth, race or nationality. I only hope the future is not deprived of these values and even if it is, I wish that you, my children, will take heed of my advice and make a difference.
