On this day, I came up with a rough draft about my topic that I was to improve later after attending class discussion and peer workshop. I tried to quote several original texts as a way of seeking the views of other scholars who have researched on the topic previously.

On this day I attended a discussion with my classmates where I learnt more on the art quoting. I learnt that is very important for any writer to quote original work sufficient before analyzing or criticizing it. Many times, writers are in a hurry quote the original work sufficient, hence ending up misinterpreting the original text. Therefore, I learnt the need to first read and comprehend the original text fully before commenting about it.

On this day, I attended and participated in a peer workshop where we discussed several issues in regards to quoting an original text. For example, we discussed the best way that one can introduce a quotation, how to blend your words with those of the original text’s author, and the strategies that one can utilize to avoid overanalyzing the original text.

After attending the class discussion and the peer workshop, it was time to prepare my latest draft. In this draft, I made changes in regards to the new information I have gained in regards to quoting. Some of the changes I made include deleting parts that I felt I had overanalyzed the original texts. Secondly, I learnt a new way of introducing quotations with sound redundant as explained in the book. Therefore, I had to delete some introductions that were redundant in my original draft.
