Q.1
The domestication is a process that enables humans to capture animals and train them for different tasks. Ancient Greeks and Arabs had earned fame in this regard, and they considered horses and donkeys as means of transportation, and the humans have always treated animals as pets that eliminated their loneliness and boredom as well.
The modern states have worked day in and day out to modernize the sources of transportation, and the world of vehicles have become motorized with the passage of time, but animals such as dogs and cats are still parts of our lives as pets, and they are providing us with a much required socialization experience that we all certainly need.
Q.2
The humanistic practice of subsistence is a concept that one applies in order to fulfill his or her minimal needs of living, and the focus on essentials would allow the person not to worry about luxuries, and an individual can fight depression and hopelessness as people start to think that they have less than others, but for those who follow subsistence as a leading philosophy would always ponder whether they have enough to meet their immediate needs or not, and if the answer is yes, then, the brave people decide to enjoy their lives.
Secondly, Inuit people live at Sachs Harbor, and the environmental changes are extensive, and therefore, the humans are coping with the challenges, and they are ensuring that they have their fundamental needs of living fulfilled against all costs.
Q.3
Intensive subsistence is an approach that permits humans to consider their self-interest as a priority, and the respective actions of the person might hurt the social cause, and create inequality in the community (Ember, Ember and Peregrine, 365). The farmers apply intensive subsistence in India to reach self independence. However, developed nations have farmers who are willing to go to extra mile in order to make a difference at a social level. The extensive subsistence is better than intensive approach because the latter one works to serve the community, but the former one gives an individual the undue socialistic advantage.
Q.4
The Neolithic Revolution occurred when most of the societies transformed from systems those hunted and gathered for making a living. However, the man had learned to plow a seed, and that changed the world order altogether in a few decades, and humanity became dependent on agriculture eventually. The revolution took place more than 1000 years ago, and the location that introduced the concept of agriculture was known as Holocone.
Q.5
The least understood concept to me during the whole course was the logic that supported the application of statistical modeling in order to measure anthropological constructs, and it appears to me that we are attempting to measure something that can be comprehended in empirical terms.
