Informational Interview Report
I held an interview the human resource manager of the Microsoft Company. His personal contact details are as follows;
Organization: Microsoft Corporation
I got the phone number of Brian Morgan from one lecturer in the college and requested whether he could give me a 30-minute professional interview in his office. He accepted my request and instructed me to visit his office the following Tuesday at 2.00pm. I chose Brain Morgan because I am interested to become a human resource manager in the future, and secondly because he has been a successful human resource manager in several large corporations for many years.
When I visited his office on the interview day, he was very welcoming and gave me a cup of tea though we had never met before. I took him through ten questions that I had prepared in advance and he was very willing to share his personal experiences. From the interview, I learnt that he graduated with a bachelor of commerce degree, human resource option from one university in Canada about 20 years ago. He was then recruited as an intern in Boivail Corporation where he rose to the position of human resource manager within a period of ten years (Brian Morgan Profile). He then enrolled for a master degree in the same course 5 years ago and he is currently pursuing a doctorate degree, as he works in Microsoft Corporation. His secret of success is handwork, determination and being more people-oriented (Kaufman 312). Since human resource is my career of interest, Brian Morgan inspired me to work hard and smart in order to achieve my dream. I will give excellent services and become more people- oriented in order to succeed in this career.
