I’m focusing on life, activities and achievements of Abraham Lincoln - the 16th President of the United States.

Question:
I want to know the biography of this person better, be able to evaluate his role in the fate of the state and the world as a whole based on the facts of his life.

Significance: My topic is relevant because:

Abraham Lincoln is a bright political figure in the history of the United States and around the world. The list of his contributions consist of significant achievements that have made the United States such as we know this country today.I plan to explore my topic through these social science disciplines:History/Sociology.

My working research question or hypothesis is:

What place in world’s history he takes and how influential and important was his political career in long-term outlook?
My preliminary research shows me this about my topic:
The sixteenth president has done a lot for the establishment and protection of democracy. One of the first was the adoption of global change-Homestead Act in 1862. Thanks to this law, agriculture began to develop in the new farmer's direction, and the use of slave labor has begun to lose its relevance. The most famous and best reform that time was the abolition of slavery, which caused an unprecedented public response. Preparing for the event was gradual, initially Lincoln stood for compensatory liberation from slavery. As a result, the army supplemented by thousands of black soldiers, which provided another achievement administration Lincoln - victory in the Civil War. This man was able to unite the warring states into one, under the general national idea, and to ensure that the State further development and prosperity.
