Sayyid Qutb provides an analysis of Islamic activities through explaining the “Divine Law.” The Islamic religion asks followers to be more dedicated and serve God alone. An Islam is bound by divine revelation to belief that only God has the power of Lordship. The main branches of Islamic knowledge, as explained by Sayyid, are morals, rituals, values, standards and concepts of life. Additionally, the reading focuses on different factors that influence the Islam religion and their impact on divine law. Factors such as Jahiliyyah, culture, and Zionism affect human knowledge and sometimes separated human from the real teachings of God. For example, Jahiliyya returns the humanity to paganism through dethroning God from his rule and sovereignty. The philosophical interpretation of human history differs from the teachings of Koran making people have mixed ideas about the existence of God.
On the other hand, Qutb’s argument in the milestones shows that Islamic was the source of empirical sciences. The teachings and instructions offered by Islamic leaders about the universe and nature became the currently known Europe’s empirical sciences. He focuses more on going back to the modern revolutionary idiom by using various norms ideas aimed at intimidating people. Qutb regularly quotes the Messenger of God (S.A.W) readings from the Quran to make people understand the consequences of, not following God’s teachings. Additionally, the milestone represents Qutb as an active religious politician who fought for the revolution of Islam. The milestone also endorses the Islamic government, which will aim at ensuring laws and order are followed to ensure reformation of humankind. In every human society, peace love and unity must prevail because God does not like violence. In addition, Qutb condemns evil activities like idolatry, murder, and paganism.
