In 2005 Steve Jobs shared the most valuable lessons from his life story with the students of Stanford. He delivered a commencement speech. He told the highlights of his life through three stories. The moral of each story was to pursue your dreams and to always fight for what you love. Steve Jobs was a very optimistic and strong person. He was a genius and an inventor. Jobs was also a creative person who believed in himself. He thought that he had his unique life path and followed it. Later on, he collected the dots and saw that everything he had ever done was with a purpose. By following his heart, he achieved greatness. Few men are capable of that. I learned that settling down for less and giving up one’s dreams is not an option.
Jobs communicated his point effectively because he told his personal story. He could have failed, but he didn’t. He had a loss in his life when he got fired, but he recovered from that and became even stronger. Being a beginner fosters creativity. It is important to keep the faith because it is the only guide in life. Jobs overcame all the difficulties that he faced.
His final story is about death as the driving force. Knowing that you are mortal makes a person brave. All the insecurities disappear when we acknowledge our mortality. Nobody wants to die, but the cycle of life brings the change and it always for the better, according to Jobs. He believes in progress that each generation brings. I agree with Steve Jobs that a person should follow their heart and intuition in order to fulfill their purpose on earth and their purpose as human beings. I agree with the assumptions upon which he based his information because he is talking about the pursuit of happiness and it is a fundamental human right.
