Of course, in many cases it is very difficult to identify what was the role of Steve Jobs personally in the emergence of a new technology. However, there might be no doubt in another statement that not a single solution of the Jobs’ companies has not been implemented without participation and approval of Steve. To see this, it suffices to recall that in recent years at Apple, Jobs personally controlled even design of the package in which the iPhone and iPad were sold.
The first example of the role Steve Jobs played in leading and managing innovation is Apple’s first computer that was produced in 1976 and was named «Apple I». Without any exaggeration this is one of the notorious sources of the personal computer industry. It is known that Steve Jobs’ partner Steve Wozniak developed the computer. The role of Jobs on the stage of development of the company to a greater extent was to find sources of financing and promotion of the project.
However, the most important role in the rise of the company played a huge potential iPod. The player was part of the company's strategy and went during the Christmas holidays in 2001. The basic reason why Apple succeed was in Steve Jobs, he was passionately devoted to the purpose to change the world, and that passion is an evident that appears in every of his presentations. Anyone can learn how to create visually appealing receptions slides, but those slides will impress no one, if they are shown without passion and enthusiasm. In 2001, when Jobs introduced iPod, he said that listening to music is changing and that Apple has its own way to change the world. Where most observers saw a music player, Jobs saw an opportunity to create a better world for their clients. This is the difference between Steve Jobs and the overwhelming majority of mediocre leaders: Jobs sincerely wants to change the world and is not afraid to talk about it.
The main principle of the Apple devices is that they just work. All that is needed is to get them out of the box and turn them on. No matter what kind of device we are talking about, this device can be a computer, phone, or tablet, each of them is completely ready to be used by customer. It is not necessary to set up any software, it is not necessary to install additional applications, the biggest advantage that everything you need is already there. It captivates those for whom the lack of simplicity denied all sorts of delight from using advanced gadgets, and indeed the majority of people prefer to use gadgets that it is easier to work with.
