Strategic planning starts with the identification of a goal. This goal is identified with the definition of anticipated problems and hurdles that may interfere during the goal achievement process. Solutions are then developed due to the presence of problems. Therefore, it is extremely important to identify and gain an understanding of the core problem before crafting an appropriate strategy. This is the first step in every strategic plan and includes the situation’s diagnosis for focusing on the real problem instead of concentrating on the symptoms (Cantrell, 2009). For instance, a lot of people are fearful of speaking in public. However, this fear turns out to be a problem when their job depends on public speaking. Their goal must be to overcome this problem by recognizing the problem and thinking of solutions such as accepting the problem and trying to resolve it, willingness to speak, and embracing the role of speaker. In many cases, it is more important to define and accept a problem rather than seeking ways for its resolution.
As far as Belmont Principles for the Protection of Human Rights are concerned, I believe that the most important principle contained in the report is the respect of persons. In my opinion, it is an appreciable factor to treat human research participants as unique individuals who have the ability of making decisions, set their personal objectives, and goals, and act accordingly. I assume that this principle grants people their basic human right of being respected as a human being. Another extremely important aspect of this principle is that it compels people to not coerce and harm weak and vulnerable subjects like children, patients, and mentally-challenged individuals. This makes it a considerably significant principle as it asks people to take care of the weaker fellow beings who are not capable of making decisions for their wellbeing. Respecting individuals and their willingness to participate in research program is also important for authentic results and conclusions.
