Discussion of thoughts and feelings with the married partner can help in reducing the problem of sleep that is also important for a good health. On the other hand, marital strain can result in the generation of negative thoughts that can deteriorate the life of the people. Marriage can help people in changing the behavior for better prospects. Moreover, married partners have more chances of adopting each other’s lifestyle. Personality and gender can also influence the marital quality and health. Negative and hostile type of personality can affect the life in a negative manner. However, the effect of different genders on marital quality needs further studies. In the present times, the concept of marriage has been significantly changed from promoting family and economic stability to obtaining love, companionship, and self-fulfillment. However, economic as well as social challenges become hurdle in the success of most of the modern marriages. So, amount of time and expectations have to be revised by married partners for better marriage outcomes that can affect the health in a positive manner.
