Tennis As Nonacademic Pursuit Essay Sample
My passion for sports has been witnessed by acquaintance since my childhood. It is almost fifteen years from now that I have been playing tennis vigorously. Since the earliest I adored the game more than any other activity. I remember how my parents remained concerned for my academic performance when I was used to spend extra time in the game. However, it was only after a brief period that my talent in the sphere became one of my strengths. I remain the best player of tennis for all four years of high school. I started getting recognition in my school out of my talent in the field. I made a new benchmark by playing varsity tennis throughout the span of my high school session and balancing my academic performance at the same time. I earned the position of the varsity captain in the senior year. Soon after, my skills and talent got noticed by the school recreational department and I was nominated a tennis coach of my school. This point became yet another mark for my achievement. My students appreciated my style of coaching and the team was remarked as visibly motivated on the board. The school team won numerous matches under my coaching. I started getting recognized in the inter school sphere for my coaching talent. I won numerous coaches award for (skill, competitive, sportsmanship & leadership) in this period. In the course of my coaching span at high school, I won best serve 2 years in a row and best forehand and backhand the year later. I look forward to gain an edge in the duration of my higher education for my skill. I believe the best institutes of the place would aspire to retain my talent by enrolling me. Tennis has been a huge part of my life and I am proud to state that my passion has become my identity and mark of recognition.
