Text Book Essays Example
Textbooks are an excellent source of information for any student studying at any level of education. I have had an exciting personal experience by using a textbook in my college life. Once our lecture told us to read ahead for the next class so that understanding of what she would teach would be natural. On the next category, she gave us a quiz to determine who did what she had asked us to do. I had read the topic she had asked us to read and got the questions right unlike most students in a class, and this marks contributed to the final grading marks for the course.
Reading textbooks is a good thing to the student in many ways. Students that often read get better at it. It exercises the human brain thus strengthening brain connections and eventually building new relationships. Reading of textbooks helps in improving concentration in that when repeatedly done one gains the ability to do it for longer periods and in turn an increase in concentration. The brain translates the descriptions read and in tin it develops its imagination. In class, it becomes an added advantage since the student gets to understand what he or she is taught from different perspectives.
One of the benefits that a student may get from reading is gaining knowledge. All texts read by students gives one new bit of information that may help in different situations in life. Once obtained, knowledge can never be erased thus becoming a valuable tool in life. The more knowledge gained, the more equipped one is to tackle life challenges. Another benefit is better writing skills. This works hand in hand with an expansion in one`s vocabulary. Exposure to work that is well written and published has a significant effect on writing skills. Observing the fluidity, writing skills and cadence of different authors invariably influences one`s work to become better day by day
