Background
It is apparent that crimes are very common in cities, and the mode of catching the criminals keeps on changing as the criminals change tactics now and then giving the police hard time. The magnitude of crime changes and the methods of dealing with different crimes is different.

The investigation of the investigators
The old woman, Josephine, reported the case to the police who started an investigative lead to knowing culprits. The police used all the means to know who the men were and their places of residence. Josephine was the first person to give the lead through telling the police the number of her attackers. The investigation got deeper when the police discovered that one of the attackers left his dagger behind.
List of suspects
Desmond is one of the worst criminals in New York City, who has committed a number of crimes and got through with the police easily. One evening Desmond and his friends decided to rob an old woman. When the woman realized that the group of young, energetic men was following her, she tried to hurry but she could not manage to beat the speed of young men. They took her money, car keys, and her phone.
Forensic evidence
The fingerprint forensics did their tests on the fingerprints left on the dagger and ran the results in the database where they discovered the culprit matching the fingerprints on the dagger.

Looking for the information concerning the criminal they found that the suspect, Moses was a regular visitor to jail. He was already accused of assault and rape. The facial forensics was used to get the identity of three other suspects who did not cover their faces correctly.
Conclusion
After the police getting enough evidence the specialized force was sent to apprehend the culprits to face the ruling force of law.
Theories
Any person who does wrong will always be caught up by the arm of law. It is very hard for one to run away from the arm of law since there are very many ways that the police and other specialized forces use to identify the culprits.
