The Electronic Frontier Foundation provided diverse suggestions on protecting online privacy. There are recommended ways to block online tracking through tools that allegedly block commonly identified trackers. Some of the suggested blocking tools include: Ghostery, Disconnect, and Privacy Badger . Likewise, an article from another recommended site disclosed suggestions on increasing online privacy through the following: “tinker with the privacy settings on your browser; add encryption and ad blocking extensions to it, and search anonymously with several search engines” . Other suggestions include protecting privacy on Facebook places through making the necessary changes or personalizing privacy settings . The site provides an extensive and comprehensive source of information through links to other related articles on intensifying online privacy . There were tips provided on protecting online search including blocking ‘cookies’ from the search engine and varying the IP address, as deemed necessary.
