Walid is a boy name among the Muslims or Arabs. The outward meaning is derived from Walad, an Arabic name meaning “to give birth.” It thus means newborn. I like this name for various reasons. First, it is claimed that people with the name Walid have a great abilities in leadership. The name indicates a person who can come up with new ideas and hence can be a great leader. When it comes to motivation, the people called Walid have great intrinsic motivation. They do not wait to be ordered to do the right thing. Even when given the instructions, the Walids tend to work without being supervised. The internal motivation is great enough to help them keep going even when things are tough. In addition, people called Walid tend to have a great degree of independence. Independent people take up roles readily, and take great initiatives. For example, Walids do not need to be given reason to work hard, set goes, and be disciplined to ensure that these goals are achieved. More than often, Walids succeed in what they do.
Moreover, people with the name Walid seek justice without fear and often show untamed courage in seeking the truth and justice for all. The characteristics makes Walid be liked by many people due to their charisma in leadership, intrinsic motivation, and the independence that makes the function without being coerced. I believe that I have these characteristics.
However, there are possible challenges for the people called Walids. Due to their character, they are short tempered and may get upset quickly especially when people are not cooperating. In addition, failing to achieve their goals make them feel bad and may easily succumb to depression making Walids become impractical or very rigid. Even with these, I could not wish to have had a different name.
