The Pauline Letters Critical Thinking
Answer 1
There are numerous deductions and mission statements that one can draw from the Pauline letters. These are the books in the bible that believe to have been authored by Paul to the church, communities and individuals.
Idea 1: Minister to the people before visit, and they will be ready to receive the word of God.
It is clear from Pauline writings that Paul wrote letters to the church as a preparation of a visit to the same institution. He did not always go to the church before he wrote a letter to them. For example, in his letter to Romans, Paul was anxious to minister to the Romans and in a bid to prepare for his visit, he wrote the church based in Rome a letter (Senior, Donald).
Idea 2: Humility is the key to ensure that people live spiritually and in accordance with the will of God.
Paul was determined to teach those he was administering to about the benefits of humility to God and how to live spiritually (Mahony, Kieran & Martin). There are numerous verses that support this mission statement about Pauline works. In the book of Philippines, Paul is quoted to telling them to live in humility and unity. The statement affirms the determination of Paul to ensure that all those who he administered to understood the virtues and values to adhere.
Idea 3: Preach and administer as far as you can and ensure that the word of God goes to all nations.
Paul was determined to spread the word of God as quickly as it could go. In his second letter to the Thessalonians in chapter three, Paul requests them to pray that the message of the Lord is spread quickly (Johnson). He continues to write that by making the word spread, many people will be delivered from their evil acts. He makes the spread of the word his mission as he knows the impact the message of the lord will have on the people. Moreover, Paul authored many other books so as to ensure that the word of God is spread far and wide.
