There has always been an argument about whether there is life after death. According to many Christian beliefs, there is a notion that there is an existence of the afterlife. The guarantee of life after death is certain or definite on the people who seek salvation and live by the ways of a true Christian. It in turn forms the basis of how somebody is supposed to conduct themselves in order to gain the afterlife. Most faiths insist on the theme of salvation and urges that all their members seek salvation in order to inherit life in the kingdom that is to come. Therefore, this idea of life after death significantly affects the way human beings today live and practice their faiths.
In Islam, leaving a waqf is a way of leaving a legacy to family or the society or community. By so doing, it cements one’s standing in society, and the contribution that they make is regarded as a positive action. However, some people don’t clearly define the positive act for which they would like to be remembered. Sacrificing one’s life is regarded as selflessness that will benefit the humanity or the society in one way or another. In today’s world, some people choose to be remembered by doing unpopular and sinister actions because they believe that they’re justified to do so. A person should give his life to a cause that is right and justified without necessarily leading to loss of life or property.
Different faiths and religions have different viewpoints of salvation; hence they don’t define who will be saved and those that won’t be saved in the same way. There is an existence of works that talk on this subject. Some talk of the end of the world or an apocalypse that may happen. Some people who read such books believe what they read and tend to lead their lives according to the books they read. In a world full of cults today, some have taken advantage to further their ideas on people claiming that they are the true faith. As a result, this way of thinking may be dangerous because some people may be duped to follow or join legions whose ideas are entirely unfounded.
