Scientific revolution was the period in which modern science emerged, and developments took place in fields such as astronomy, physics, mathematics and Human Biology in order to change the society to be a better place. It began in Europe when the Renaissance era was coming to an end. The revolution continued during the 18th century and influenced the social movement called the Enlightenment. Scientific Revolution was revolutionary in the manner that it led to the articulation of some of the issues(Cohen 38). Scientific revolution is revolutionary based on the way in which it gave an empathy that reality could be gauged by empirical proof. Before scientific revolution, it was ordinary for many people to accept most of the things about the universe as they had been passed to them by those in authority(Burns 94). For instance, if the mosque or the church said something, no individual had to question, and most people believed. With the rise of scientific revolution, people developed a new attitude and wanted most of the issues to be proved by observed facts.such an intellectual change was important especially to the people who had preference to what the authorities stated. Scientific Revolution was revolutionary since it led to the start of other revolutions one of the most important, being the industrial revolution. A revolution is something that has a great impact on the people, both those directly involved and those who are not involved. Because scientific revolution was able to lead to other revolutions, it had a great impact on the people especially those in Europe where it started. Industrial revolution, that was a transition that occurred in the manufacturing process between 1820 to 1840, is a product of the scientific revolution. The industrial revolution involved the use of machines and abandoning the use of hands in the production of goods. Industrial revolution changed each aspect of life in some way as it made the work easier especially for those in the manufacturing industry. Technological developments also were developed during the industrial revolution which is a product of the scientific revolution(Cohen 72). Some of the technological developments that took place include steam power, textile manufacturing, metallurgy and development of the paper machine. An improved cotton spinning machine that was controlled by the use of water or steam was invented and improved the output in the textile manufacturing industries as it increased the output of each and every worker by a factor close to 1000. Cotton gin that also invented using knowledge from the scientific revolution also improved the removal of seed from the cotton thus increasing the production of textiles. The use of steam power was also important as it made the work easier by driving some of the powerful machines. Steam power was also important when it came to transportation as it was used to drive some of the engines of the trains. Scientific Revolution was revolutionary as the ideas that were introduced during the period spread far and wide. Some of the ideas, which were introduced during the scientific revolution, spread wide and far, and many people from other parts of the world benefited due to the revolution. The American logician, mathematician and even philosopher, Charles Pierce contributed greatly to the development of semiotics and epistemology. The ideas that he developed originated from the scientific revolution such as some of the scientific methods that had been introduced by Bacon Francis and the mathematical logic as explained by Rene Descartes. Scientific Revolution also contributed to shaping the mentality that is today held by man popularly known as the modern mentality. The revolution broke the medieval view of the universe and replaced it with a totally new view(Burns 107). In the past human beings blamed most of their misfortunes on demons and a time magic. Most of the things were viewed based on the religious perspective however this changed with the development of the scientific revolution. People embraced the use of science in most of their reasonings and as such religion was viewed as faith by the people. This shows a radicle change within the human beings and as such without scientific revolution some of the changes would not have occurred today. Since the scientific revolution took a long time for it occur, it is not revolutionary since a revolution involves something that takes place over a short period. The revolution also did not have any effect on the Christianity way of life. The church in this case turned into humanist ways as a scientific revolution disputed the idea of Christians being together as a family and focused on individualism. Scientific Revolution was revolutionary in nature because it led to the start of other revolutions, contributed in shaping modern mentality, and led to the development of some of the mathematical formulas that are used today in schools. Scientific Revolution was revolutionary as the ideas that were introduced during the period spread far and wide as far as America. Without scientific revolution, some of the changes would not have occured today.
