Thesis statement

The present day gender dynamics of trans-nationalization in the context of gender and sexuality has taken a different discourse in the modern society. Gender entails the socio-cultural alias of woman and man and the manner in which the societies recognize them and disperse to them the social responsibilities and roles. The gender issues encompass the diversified challenges and issues that the two opposite sexes of women and men face (Mukherjee and Sushila 261). Though, it is evidenced in history that women have been a victim of serious psycho-physical torture, social evils, and utmost social-economic exploitation.

Summary of the arguments and evidence

Within the Indian setting, there is undeniable need to establish, defend, and redefine equal economic, social and political rights and equal opportunities for the Indian women. Feminists in India are determined in the pursuit of women’s rights within and beyond their society. This majorly involves seeking of gender equality; right to equal education and health, right to work for equal wages, and equal political rights.
As a result of the unresolved issues behind the subject of feminism, the investment within this subject is thus announced by the slippage that was noted earlier by the attention to Gandhi in reform, a practice which was located clearly, problematically and strategically in the interstices of morality, religion, politics and sexual economy. The reforms she agitated for were aimed at enhancing their status, fashion and reconstitute women within the terms that stipulated the strategic investment in the embodied subject of feminism, as evident in the works of nearly all the major nationalist leaders- Vivekanand, Gandhi, Jyotirao Phule and Ambedkar.
In spite of the fact that the Indian feminist movements made some progress, today the women living in India still encounter many issues of discrimination. The Indian patriarchal culture has put the process of gaining land-ownership rights and even access to education a challenging concern (Patil 102).

A critique of the thesis or argument

The plight of women is a genuine concern and any effort to ensuring that a just, fair society is achieved should not be spared. A society that is of equality to everyone despite of one’s gender is one of every rational man’s desire.

Own position

The concern raised by the great nationalist like Gandhi and Vivekanand over the feminism equality holds to a greater extent. The global concern of non-discrimination and the pursuit of equality across the globe sets the bar leveled for both the sexes on opportunities and equality. The masculine values of violence, coercion, war greed, and bloodshed have incapacitated women to participate in it as they seem to be against the feminine character. With regards to this analogy, the female gender have been a victim of societal circumstances and therefore an out rightly formulated standards and principles are supposed to be adhered to enable achievement of equality and non-discriminatory measures for the female gender.
