Universal health care is one of the government systems that provides an easy access to affordable and quality medical care for everyone in the society.
Two major reasons including; financial problems and increase in number of the patients, increase the health care costs, and in result the quality of the health care will be reduced.
As it is shown in the film, the British government uses the tax income to pay for the National Health Service (NHS). While the Americans might not like to pay high taxes, and wait while gate keeper, and health care provider appear, and government starts to make major participation.
In Japan, government is responsible for the health care costs of the poor people, while the ministry of health care standardizes the prices. Moreover, one payment system is used to have a fixed price book.
The main reason why the doctors in Germany have lower fees is that the medical school are much cheaper than the other countries, and in case of malpractice, the penalties are lower too.

The answer is yes. When it comes to health, we should remember that all citizens have the same right to access equal health care.
In my view, the system of Taiwan have so many advantages. For example, we can mention, patient’s right to choose the doctor, there is no gatekeeper, government insurance is responsible for collecting the money, there is no need to wait to visit the doctors, the clinics work every day including the weekends, they use a smart card, and therefore there is no bankruptcy. The major problems that the Taiwanese government is struggling with is improving the patients’ hope, satisfaction of the doctors and health care expenses, so as we can see they have problem with funding the health care system, therefore, they have to borrow money from the bank to support their National Health care System.
So why the Swedish government was willing to make changes? That is because they consider the health care as one of the basic human rights.
And one of the reasons why the people have become more supportive on this issue, is that the government is responsible for the health care of the poor, therefore, there is no profit, no bankruptcy, and it reduces the administrative costs, there are only monthly premiums by patients.
As I watched the film, I came to this conclusion that a policy to implement a universal health care system needs to be created in United States too. I consider the equal health care coverage as one of the basic human rights of each single citizen. Therefore, the government must accept the responsibility to pay for the health care of the poor and health care costs should be fixed and equal everywhere. The film also clearly shows that the universal health care system is properly working in other reach countries so it leaves no excuses to for not having a similar system in the United States.
