The presented theoretical model aims to highlight the occurrence of violence and abuse in adult. The strategies of intervention are developed keeping in consideration the root of the violence that triggers the situation under the consideration of the social learning theory model. Primarily, the abuse or violence can be defined as deeds that torment individual or batter females at home. The primary theory under the reference focuses over domestic violence and regards the practitioners as mentally ill. However, the theory was challenged with finding in which, most of the batterers were proved psychologically fit. Likewise, the psychological patients of the category were distinct from the profile specifications of such batterers. The other point that established the negation of theory was the fact that psychological illness can be treated with therapy and medications. However, violence and abuse cannot be taken over with such measures. Thus, in my perception the implication occurs under the framework of the social learning theoretical model in which an individual behaves in light of his learning and observations. The individual attempts to gain power and strength with violence and abuse from observational learning.
The theory functions over the observation from the social context with the perception that exposure to violence transforms an individual; for being violent in acts. The theory could also be studied in context to culture of violence theory that emphasize over the origin of violence from cultural context, such as, monitoring of violence at home and practicing the same in cyclic mode. However, the illustrated theories cannot be comprehended on individuals who adopt the attitude with defending perception. Precisely, it can be commented that a theoretical model to analyze the occurrence of violence and abuse in adulthood scan aptly be crafted over the lines of he social learning theory model.
