Three Major Aspects of Industrialization Between 1865 and 1920 That Influenced US Society, Economy and Politics
The centers of industrialization were in the North, therefore that is where most of the urbanization took place as the South lagged behind and the Western frontier was beginning to close.
The settlement of the West brought an end to the way of Indian life and ushered in the era where Indians were displaced from their lands.
As the South remained largely rural and agrarian, the life of farmers, both black and white was strained. It led to the rise of tenant farming and paved the wave for reform groups such as the Grand Alliance for agriculture.
