According to DelCampo (2011), the human resources department handles the issues regarding the employees or workforce of an organization. Typically, in large businesses, the human resource department may have more than one specialist because of the different tasks available. However, the roles for each human resource specialist are consistent with concerns and organizational needs of the workforce.
The Human resource specialist is responsible for carrying out tasks related to job placement, labor relations, and recruitment and employment interviews. Specifically, the HR specialist performs internal assessment of the company’s workforce needs and advertises the positions to facilitate landing on qualified staff. Concisely, the entire process of recruitment is a duty of the HR specialist. Moreover, the specialist terminates contract or employment deals for employees who retire or fail to achieve the set standards among other reasons. Additionally, the HR specialist administers labor laws in a manner that keeps up with state and federal minimum wage, child labor and overtime.
Part 2
Currently, communication technology is pertinent in its various forms for many purposes in businesses. One of the most spectacular impacts of communication technologies is evident in the creation of new sales channels (In Lee, 2014). While the traditional sales system relied on carrying out sales over the phone or on the store, the advent of new communication technologies using Internet has led to online sales. The online sales channel is useful for business to offer services and goods on a global scale, which increases their profits. Moreover, the current mobile phone applications allow customers to make online purchases and comment on the services they receive, which is essential for building good business-customer relations. Undoubtedly, with the provision of an effective communication platform, technology is useful conducting business transactions efficiently to improve profitability.
