It calculates the strengths and weaknesses of the internal environment of the business and the opportunities and threats of the external environment. It is used by companies to shape their sustainable niche in the market.
SPACE Analysis: Strategic Position and Action Evaluation Matrix is a strategic tool for the development and review of the strategies that a Company makes. It may be used for the different time frames of the development of plans by a Company (Differentiateyourbusiness.co.uk, 2015). It may also be employed in the evaluation process of individually distinct strategies.
BCG Analysis: Developed as a portfolio planning model, the BCG growth share matrix divided the Company’s business units into four categories to assess the market share and growth opportunities and standing of the Company with respect to the competitors (Netmba.com, 2015). GS Analysis: The Grand Strategy Matrix is used in a similar manner as the SWOT analysis, in which the strategic options are listed and placed as to whether they are strong or weak competitive positions in the industry.
QSP Analysis: The evaluation of possible or available prospective strategies is done by using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix, QSP analysis. It is taken as an approach of strategic management, which provides analytical perspectives in the comparison of the alternatives to decide the best one.
