The question being addressed in the assigned readings is: do women have considerable impacts on contemporary art, if so, to what extent have women in the contemporary times involved themselves into art? Throughout the readings, the author seek to answer the aforementioned question. The author is motivated by the fact that though woman are a minority in the realm of art they have since shown substantial involvement predominantly in the contemporary times.

Answer

Similar to other minority groups in the realm of art, women have since shown considerable efforts by creating art institutions of their own, for this reason women are bound to profoundly impact art in similar magnitude to other spheres in which they have shown insightful involvement.

Explanation

Though women in art dominion have proved capable and creative, their aptitude is being “downplayed by being “labelled”. A majority of people have the perception that women are not competent compared to men when it comes to art, however women like Georgina O’keefe have proved competent and capable enough to compete with men in a male dominated realm. Women embrace arts in many spheres that relate to them in the contemporary times, more profoundly they embrace art through makeovers, designs among many other domains. Additionally, the author argues that women in the past were not well established and more so not given the chance to engage themselves in arts since arts was perceived to be a male subjugated jurisdiction. For this reason women became a minority in the realm of art.

Response

With the developing feminism, women will apparently have profound impact on art similar to other spheres.
