Introduction (business activities):
One of the best healthcare service providers is Wright-Filippis. Wright-Filippis has made its reputation since its existence in 1944. In 2014, it has put his hand away from 35 years old home medical and respiratory services. It has sold the service to Lincare. A decision was made by the CEO of Wright-Filippis that the company has to focus on its roots i.e. prosthetics and orthotics, as well as complex rehab. In April 2014, it has celebrated its 70 years accomplishment. It is a celebration of 32 location in Michigan which is a sizeable presence. Filippis said that their company is growing its business steadily and soon it will close all the acquisition (Hmenews.com, 2015).
Primary Competitors:
Lincare has become one of the competitors of Wright-Filippis. After selling 35 years old services to Lincare. Also, Lincare has hired those employees that were working under home medical and respiratory services of Wright-Filippis. Don Davis president of Duckridge Advisors has said that Wright-Filippis hasn’t got any award that it was expecting because they are struggling with their DME business (Greene, 2013).
Organizational Structure:
Anthony J. Filippis is Chairman and CEO of Wright-Filippis. On the recommendation of CEO to the board of directors Robert, (Bob) DeWolf has appointed as president of the company. The operations occurring on a daily basis will be a responsibility of DeWolf to update CEO and Chairman of Wright Filippis.
Conclusion:
It seems that Wright-Filippis has maintained its reputation for the past three decades. It has great financial results. It has maintained annual revenue of $121 million and has 625 employees and 37 offices in Ohio and Michigan. Whereas the organizational structure is centralized structure. It is because the top level management is more involved in making a decision (Greene, 2013).
