I have achieved the quality to articulate significant purposes for my created work, after attending various classes on communication and multiple writing workshops. Similarly, for targeted audiences and context, I have obtained awareness. Through media projects, presentations and writing, I have learned how to communicate with my specific audience. In addition, I have enhanced my communication and writing capacities along with reflective skills. They are achieved through reflecting works and others’ reception for my works. For me, writing is a journey of self recognition. I can evaluate my writing and communication skills here, but the real critics of my writing would be an audience. To judge one’s own capacities requires courage and honesty. I am in the process of learning and writing; therefore, it is possible that I have some misconceptions regarding my writing capacities.
A paper that I wrote titled BISGST 282 Globalization (Name, 2014), displays my understanding of national politics, sovereignty and globalization. It exhibits my knowledge regarding economies and their impact on sovereignty. In this essay, I present a comparison of national sovereignty with globalization. I reflect in this essay that for the sake of globalization, we cannot sacrifice sovereignty. However, I do not have a taste for writing dry subjects like this. My other essays point out this fact loudly.
In another essay titled BIS 313 Documentary Forms (Name, 2014), I present the advantages of documenting. The main character of the essay is Jonathan. Jonathan is young and he is documenting his own real life in the documentary. Making a documentary is a useful method to teach its audience something useful or beneficial. Specifically, this documentary is about homosexual people. For Jonathan this documentary is providing special education to its audience as it is presenting specific information about a specific subject.
Moreover, a documentary can define many things such as analytical argument, the voice of God narration, dignified music, and educational animation and features sonorous. However, Jonathan’s documentary Tarnation does not have any such element in it. This specific essay reflects my knowledge about a subject that usually people ignore. In addition, I know this essay has very specific audience, as usually people do not want to read such essay that open human deficiencies and psychological aspects related to this dimension of sex. This essay displays my boldness in writing. Moreover, it shows my understanding of different social issues.
My essay “My trip to the spurious “Walden” (Name, 2013) presents a different perspective of my personality. It reflects a new person to my audience that has a love for nature, birds and history and historical places. This exhibit that I want people to love nature and the gifts of nature in my other writing , ‘My teacher is Thoreau’, as well (Name, 2014). In this essay, I feel that my presentation skills improved and I have used descriptive writing techniques. My writing seems full of knowledge and research work. This piece of writing shows I have the potential for long and serious writing and I can write for different audiences.
The brief evaluation of some of my writing work is sufficient to gauge my capacities of writing and communicating. I want to write on various niches and for many different audiences.
